Spring is the perfect time to create a sense of serenity with layers of soothing shades in calming tones. “I’ve always loved a neutral colour pallette and fresh spring sun light really highlights these tonal shades” says Gemma, Jord Home founder. “They give a sense of space and openness that are soothing after a busy day”.
"We’re lucky to have doors that open out on to the garden and I’m longing for the days when we can fling them open all day long” says Gemma. “But for now having our dining table positioned so we can sit and over look our outside space really feels like we can enjoy spring in the garden from the inside too.”
“After such a long dark winter, I’m doing all I can to bring the cheeriness of spring into my home right now” says Gemma. ‘’Flowers are always a great addition to your home space, but greenery and spring blooms really do come into their own with so many beautiful ones to choose from at this time of year.’’
Here at Jord Home our favourite florals tend to be in neutral tones, & we especially love these white anemones which look lovely in little bud vases. They are so useful and it means you can quickly dot them about across a dining table to make an effortless spring tablescape, when bigger arrangements take just a bit more thought. They are fabulous for bringing an instant spring vibe into the home with just a few stems or little spring bulbs.

Using natural textures in your home is a wonderful way to give an interior a grounded and restorative feeling. Gemma chose our Braided Natural rug for under her dining table “It’s got such a gorgeous tactile quality and yet it’s really hard wearing and can take a few crumbs and the occasional spill.” says Gemma. “And I I love to layer up our rare breed Sheepskins over the benches too.
